The outreach activities at the Ip Piano School - chamber music concerts, open rehearsals, students' chamber music performances - are presented by the New England String Quartet, an ensemble in residence.
New England String Quartet was established in 2007 in Boston, Massachusetts, and currently performs throughout the New England area. The quartet possesses a vast repertoire of pieces in a variety of styles, and the performances range from classical concerts to popular music, community education, and new music projects. New England String Quartet collaborates with schools and non-profit organizations in Massachusetts promoting music, educating, and supporting amateur and professional music projects. The members of New England String Quartet, violinists Julia Okrusko and Konstantin Rybakov, violist Lilit Muradyan, and cellist Ming-Hui Lin, are winners of international competitions in the United States and abroad. Their artistic enthusiasm empowers them to present unforgettable musical performances.
